Here’s a 2001 Ernie Ball Music Man Axis. Note it’s natural quilted maple instead of the (IMO) overly-flashy metal flake most of these came in. I changed out the cheap plastic volume knob for a metal Jazz Bass style one. I have the original chrome Floyd Rose tail that came with it, but I prefer the black Guitar Fetish “Fastloader.” You can put strings on normally, instead of upside down or cut off, making string replacement on a gig possible. The only other mod is the mandatory (on my guitars) Dunlop Strap-Lok studs.

I tried to show the few imperfections in the finish. There’s a slight dent in the clear coat near the 21st fret side marker. It’s hard to photgraph and impossible to see from a few feet. And the inevitable “Floyd Rose Circle” around one of the mounting posts - again, just through the clear coat.

There’s a thin scratch on the back, from the plate to the strap button. It may buff out, but I haven’t tried yet. Otherwise, the back is fine - no buckle rash or anything..
